ACCMA Annual Conference, Queens Birthday Weekend – Sydney (FRI 6 – SUN 8 JUN) 

ACMA (Australian Chinese Medical Association) hosted the 2015 ACCMA Annual Conference at the new Intercontinental Hotel at Double Bay, Sydney during the Australian Queen's Birthday long weekend (6-8th June 2015).

We had two representatives from NZ - Dr Wilson Young and Dr Carlos Lam attend as representatives of the Auckland Chinese Medical Association (and NZ as a whole).  We were warmly welcomed by the NSW branch of ACMA and were treated to a beautiful buffet on the Saturday night at the tantalizing Cafe Mix in the Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney.  The next morning and afternoon was filled with interesting medical talks from all manner of disciplines including Traditional Chinese Medicine to Dietetics.  This was followed by pre-dinner drinks and a lovely sit-down dinner at the Intercontinental Double Bay dining hall where we were entertained to some Chinese and English songs by a lovely Australian-Chinese singer.  Overall the Conference was a success and next year it will be our turn to host it in Auckland.
