ACMA President Carlos Lam chaired the meeting, providing an update and overview to members about ACMA’s activities over the year and future direction. We look forward to their presentations about their elective experiences next year.

Our keynote speaker was Dr Angela Lim, CEO and Co-Founder of Clearhead. Dr Lim recounted her story of entering medicine, her time in the Ukraine and about how Clearhead came to be. Clearhead is a New Zealand company that aims to improve access to mental health services. The platform focuses on people who struggle with mental health and aims to promote healthcare that is focused on maintaining wellness, rather than propagating to illness. Clearhead has produced an app that uses Artificial Intelligence to screen and assess users that may be suffering from mental health unwellness. The app produces a report that can be shown to healthcare professionals to support their mental health care, as well as allows users to search for professional help in the community. Perhaps most importantly, the app is free-to-use, making mental health care easily accessible for all people. We would like to thank Dr Lim for an insightful and interesting talk, and wish her and the Clearhead team further success in the future.
