Welcome BBQ
One of YACMA’s annual traditions is to kick off Semester One with a welcome barbecue! What better way to introduce new medical students to YACMA than by giving out free snags and hash browns to the residents of Grafton. Whether you feel passionately about tomato sauce versus mustard, or if you like fragrant onions atop the sausage, YACMA has you covered!

YACMA Yumcha
This year’s annual yumcha event was held at SunWorld Newmarket! The day started off with icebreakers, a quiz and opportunities for YACMA members to mingle and meet other people in the YACMA community. Attendees were then able to enjoy an assortment of BBQ pork buns, siu mai, chicken feet, prawn dumplings and more to warm themselves up on the rainy day!

YACMA Winter Social Event
What better way to celebrate the holidays than to have a fun and exciting evening with fellow YACMA members at the first ever Winter Social Event! This year we have organised this dinner event at the iconic Gogo Music Cafe. The aim was to provide yet another perfect opportunity to meet new friends, while enjoying a wide variety of interesting and delicious dishes!

YACMA Careers Evening
Careers Evening is an annual event that YACMA runs to better guide and inform medical students about the future opportunities that the world of medicine and surgery has to offer! This year we invited many speakers from a variety of different specialties to talk about what their jobs entail, the pathways to get in, etc. The speakers were also kind enough to answer any questions that students were particularly interested about.
