CNY Health Checks
On Saturday 18 January, ACMA was at the ASB Showgrounds Chinese New Year celebrations to welcome in the Year of the Rat. As per tradition, ACMA doctors and YACMA students provided basic health checks - the stall was bustling with activity and visitors who kept our volunteers engaged. There was also plenty of music and entertainment which enhanced the lively atmosphere, and not to mention the seemingly endless options of delicious Chinese food stalls available. It was also fantastic to see new students eager to help out with measuring vitals and answering questions. This was a great opportunity for clinical volunteers and returning students to revise their clinical skills and to give CNY ASB back to the wider community. Happy New Year!

ACMA-TANI Health Talk
On Thursday 27 August 2020, Dr Gary Wu gave a Zoom talk on Immunity and Health along with nurse Jessica.
The talk was very well-received by the more than 100 Chinese people who registered for the talk. Feedback included: “Thanks for the speakers to explain about vaccines and its foundations which let us know why immunisation is very important.”
Several registrants who failed to attend due to Zoom’s attendance limitations were even asking for Dr Wu to repeat his presentation again! Well done to Gary and nurse Jessica for yet again a very successful ACMA-TANI collaborative talk.
