CHAINZ

Chinese Health Awareness Initiative New Zealand

In 2013, a group of registered doctors in NZ of Chinese descent working in Auckland had a vision to work with the Chinese community in New Zealand in raising health awareness. Thus CHAINZ was born - Chinese Health Awareness Initiative New Zealand.

Over the years there have been a wide variety of initiatives by CHAINZ such as educational videos produced and released on YouTube, a regularly-updated blog discussing health topics of particular significance to the Chinese community, joint charity events with ACMA, and presentations on NZ Chinese-language talk shows of WTV.

After a brief hiatus, CHAINZ has now ambitious plans for a focused relaunch - now even better than ever before. Watch this space!

ACMA member Dr David Wu recently addressed the topic of COVID-19 vaccinations on the Chinese-language Channel 33 - lots of common questions answered!
