Dr Cameron Schauer // MBChB, FRACP
Dr Schauer is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and General Physician based in Waitemata. He has a particular subspecialist interest in the role of endoscopy in detection and treatment of early oesophageal, gastric and colon cancer.
Dr Schauer graduated from the University of Auckland. He was the first New Zealander to be awarded a fellowship role in Tokyo, Japan, to learn new endoscopic techniques.
Dr Schauer is a current member of the New Zealand Society of Gastroenterology. He is the New Zealand representative for the Asian-Pacific Society for Digestive Endoscopy and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He holds a Consultant role at North Shore Hospital and Waitakere Hospital, and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer with the University of Auckland.
